A gastroscopy is an endoscopic examination of the oesophagus, stomach and duodenum. It may be recommended for reflux, swallowing difficulty, upper abdominal pain, bleeding, or unexplained anaemia.
During the procedure, biopsies can be taken to confirm inflammation, ulcers, coeliac disease or other conditions.
With a GP referral, you can access specialist gastroscopy care locally in Bunbury and Busselton with Dr Halim Elsherif.
